Peter qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1969 after attending Ewell Technical College. He has over 30 years' experience in building surveying and established PWA (formerly Peter Williams Associates) in Horsham, West Sussex, in 1983. He specialises in building defects diagnosis and has been engaged as an expert witness for a large number of projects. He became a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1982 and is a member of a number of organisations particularly associated with building conservation. Now an equity partner of PWA, Peter's experience has also included working for chartered Architects, an estate agents and an education authority. He is approved by Guildford Diocesan Advisory Committee to carry out quinquennial surveys for the Church of England.
Specialising in construction health and safety and contract administration, Paul has over 23 years' experience in building surveying. He joined PWA in 1989, and has been an equity partner since 1994. He has undertaken many major refurbishment and alteration schemes to commercial and residential properties for clients such as local authorities and major, national companies. Paul graduated from Liverpool Polytechnic in 1979, became a Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1980 and has been a member of the Association of Planning Supervisors since 1995.
Philip joined PWA after graduating from Leicester Polytechnic in 1988 and became a Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1991. He has been an equity partner since 2006. His experience is in commercial and residential projects, comprising schedules of dilapidations and condition, planned maintenance audits, refurbishment and alteration schemes, party wall surveying, advice on building defects and recommendation for repairs particularly in building pathology. Clients for whom he has worked include national companies, local authorities and the Ministry of Defence.
